Hope you're hungry, because there's a lot to chew on here. When we stumbled onto Sm^th a few weeks ago, he had only released one or two savory little tidbits, "Ground To Taste" and "You & I," but it was obvious that there was something delicious brewing. Luckily he was just about ready to drop Mutton vol. 1, a keenly L.A.-inspired beattape which, though it only clocks in at just over 16 minutes, exhibits a hearty range. We don't know much about the guy except that he's been making beats out of Berkeley, and that he has a more filled-out, more "musical" release in the works. If only we could post all of the tracks.
