11-30-2011 - Knocksteady just had Staples in their studio. They gave him this beat, and supposedly he sat down and wrote "Queenzbridge Zoo" right there on the spot. Word is his first release, Shyne Coldchain Vol. 1, will drop December 30 on Applebird.
11-10-2011 - Big thanks to Live For The Funk for sharing this. Vince Staples is another young LA rapper and probably the most promising new talent to emerge from the ranks of Odd Future recently. A sizzling production by Michael Uzowuru, the beat perfectly compliments Staples' icy demeanor. With 50 seconds left on "Versace Rap", when you think it's going to fall into a rut, the track takes a subtle left turn and Staples hits with another verse of deeply agnostic wordplay, leaving you dumbfounded. Edit: We've heard directly from Staples, who claims to have "no ties with odd future." He also clarifies that the "second verse isn't about atheism, more so the 5% Islamic faith."
